ANDRE GUMPRECHT

Andre Gumprecht has come through the ranks as a junior at German club Bayer Leverkusen then moved to Lecce in Italy to compete with the worlds best players.

At such a young age Andre was tagged as the next big thing in German football and delivered during his time in Europe. After seasons in the lower divisions on Germany Andre moved to Perth and played for Perth Glory in the old NSL competition. He was an instant hit with the crowd and won a premiership with the Glory before moving to Parramatta Power where he played with several players that would soon be with him at the Central Coast Mariners.

Andre was voted as the best central midfielder by his collegues during the first year of the A-League with the Mariners, overshadowing Europe bound Nick Carle and David Carney. 'Gumps' the home town hero, played an integral role for the Mariners during his first 2 seasons.

Andre now enjoys expanding his coaching academy and putting back into the sport that has been so good to him. Andre will be around for along time yet, stay tuned for more updates.
